As Director of the Friedman Center for Nutrition and Inflammation and the Roberts Institute for Research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, it is my great pleasure to introduce you to The Friedman Center For Nutrition and Inflammation.
The Friedman Center for Nutrition and Inflammation launched in 2018 with the goal of studying the interaction between diet, nutrition, the microbiota (the genetic material generated by the viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites that live in or on the human body) and the immune system and how these interactions influence immunity to infection, chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer.
Please take a moment to meet our staff, faculty and trainees, hear about our research and understand our mission to undertake cutting-edge research in understanding the impact of diet, nutrition and the microbiota on host defense, chronic inflammatory diseases, metabolic health and cancer.
